“4 months”
What is your job title and what does your job entail?
“International Training Acquisition Specialist. My job entails working with clients wanting to recruit TN candidates. I work to understand the needs they have at their organization so we can tailor our talent search to find a candidate that would flourish in a specific role. I create relationships with organizations to acquire candidates that possess the skills and traits our clients seek or help their employees obtain the training they need. I am currently working on a long-term project with our team to recruit nurses in Mexico who can successfully become registered nurses in the states to ameliorate the nurse shortage.”
What motivates you to get up and come to work?
“I’m really motivated by helping others. I’ve lived abroad and realize how life-changing one job prospect can be to the trajectory of one’s life and family. It’s easy to be passionate about something meaningful, but it’s especially important to me because of my background and where I’m from.”
What is the best career lesson you’ve learned so far?
“It’s ok to not be great at most things in the beginning. We do not always excel at everything the first time we try and there may be a disappointment. You have to work your way through the difficulties to get things right. In the process, you improve, grow, advance, and gain confidence.”
What do you like doing outside of work?
“Outside of work I enjoy working out, taking dance classes, and traveling.”
What is one thing that not many people know about you?
“I am a clarinet player and I love listening to classical pieces when working or studying.”
If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
“If I could have one superpower it would be teleportation.”
